Apps and Guides

With various digital applications you can dive even deeper into the world of the northern seas when visiting the OZEANEUM. 

Here you will find an overview to help you choose the perfect companion for your visit.

There is free W-LAN available in the OZEANEUM for you to use the apps or guides. We recommend that you bring your own headphones for audio applications.

The free app "Frag Walfred!" is an interactive, digital companion for young and old that can be used to explore the museum tour in a playful way. Porpoise Walfred, the mascot of the OZEANEUM, guides you with entertaining dialogs through the world of the northern seas. 

  • The app is suitable for the whole family as well as for individual guests of all ages.
  • It can be downloaded in advance in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Free wifi availible at the OZEANEUM.
  • For best performance, it is important to activate Bluetooth and location access.
  • In a daily updated overview you will find all events, guided tours, feeding times and promotions and you can get notifications via push alert.
  • The application helps you find your way around with 360° views and maps of all levels of the museum.

  • Versions are available in German, Polish and English.
  • The guide is also available in all languages for the visually impaired.
  • There is a special version for our young museum guests. 
  • The audio guide can only be accessed via your own mobile device with your own headphones.
